As a Senior Partner Manager at Google, launched new products and oversaw system integration in Sub-Saharan Africa.
For the BebaPay project in Kenya, designed and conducted ‘on-the-ground’ field usability studies of consumers, agents, and merchants transacting on Google’s Beba platform (via NFC cards and readers); tracked and aggregated metrics on user behavior; and advised on localization techniques to counter constraints around technology infrastructure and user expertise. Concerted efforts with engineering and product teams in the US and EU ultimately yielded a leaner, faster, and more intuitive user experience that significantly increased adoption and retention rates.
